Your donations make more tutorials possible. Thanks!
I've been making video Tutorials every Tuesday, on one topic or another.
You can see the latest on my YouTube channel, or my Facebook Page.
In this set, we'll explore the Gradient Tool
In this video, we'll take a look at the buttons on the Options/Control bar. We'll find out how to use the 5 types of Gradients (Linear, Radial, Angle, Reflected, and Diamond) and what the various buttons and menu items do.
Here we'll find out how to use the Gradient Editor to edit presets, or make your own gradient from scratch, and how to save the gradients you've made so you use them again.
We'll take a look at the random Noise gradients, and find out how to control the color and roughness, and how to put transparency in them!
In the final segment of this series, we'll take a look at a couple of ways you can use gradients. First, we'll make a layer that combines horizontal noise lines with snow, and put a vignette in it using a gradient on a mask, so it looks like bad reception, with the static clearning in the center. Then we'll see how you can use multiple radial gradients to make it appear that there is more than one center point.
