A friend mentioned that there wasn't a way to just make simple straight lines in Photoshop. But there is! It's just easy to miss it. So I did this one to show her where it was, and how to use it.
Make Flip Horizontal work the way it should! Predictably flip across the center of the image, across an arbitrary axis that you determine, and across a symmetrical UV Map. (The face of the SL™ Avatar is used in the example, but it works with any UV Map.)
